A Fresh Coat of Paint: Mobile Menus, Cleaner Cards, and Author Spotlights!
Hey everyone! 🌲
While Web Dev Tree is fundamentally about collecting and sharing the best learning resources, I also want to make sure the platform itself feels as clean and readable as possible. Over the last couple of days, I’ve pushed a handful of quality-of-life updates to the site layout!
Here is a quick look at what’s new:
A True Mobile Menu: Say goodbye to the cluttered top bar! Our mobile layout now features a sleek, toggleable menu, leaving more room to focus on the content.
Better Reading Flow: The news and blog cards have been slightly redesigned. You’ll notice better breathing room between elements, crisp typography, and a much cleaner presentation of the categories and dates.
Author Spotlights: Have you noticed the sidebar? We are now highlighting our authors! The new widget dynamically shows a contributor’s profile, a link to their personal website, and their total published posts. It’s a small way to give credit to the amazing people sharing content here.
Fun Behind-the-Scenes Fact: I actually implemented all of these layout and logic updates by pair-programming with Antigravity (an advanced AI agentic coding assistant). It was a genuinely fascinating workflow, and I’ll be writing a much more detailed breakdown of that process over on my other personal blog soon. Keep an eye out for it!
I hope these subtle tweaks make your experience a little better. As always, thank you for exploring, sharing, and helping this tree grow. Keep on coding!
